"San Francisco de Asis [Deconstructed]"
Taos Deconstructed: In this series of photographs,  I visually interpret the literary concept of deconstruction: that artworks are seen in terms of their undecidability.  In some of the photographs, both Taos and Taoseños have been photographically dismantled and reassembled in a way that challenges how the viewer perceives the underlying nature of the subjects.  In others, the streets of Taos were photographed in full darkness.  Stripped of their usual context, these images reveal some of the mystery of form in a universe without color. Adding another layer of complexity, certain photographs were printed on handmade paper that I hand-coated with photographic emulsion.  These photographs were displayed in a one-woman show at Wilder Nightingale Fine Art in Taos in December, 2014.
